Erica Buist
Writer
Erica has spent the last decade working as a journalist and features writer.
Formerly a staffer at the Guardian, her work can also be found on outlets such as the BBC, The Sunday Times, Refinery29, Medium, Grazia, and Newsweek.
She is a tutor and course host with Guardian Masterclasses, and lectures on features writing at Goldsmiths University and Lincoln University. She is also Associate Editor-in-Chief of the literary Magazine Tupelo Quarterly.
Her first book, a hybrid of nonfiction and memoir called This Party’s Dead, came out in 2021. Her short fiction and essays have been published in various anthologies including Hypertext Review, Guts Publishing and the Bedside Guardian, and her work has also been performed at Liars’ League London. She is currently working on a novel, and studying a Creative Writing Masters at Cambridge University.
